Gabriela Zarain's background finds its origins in Puebla, Mexico, where she was born. Her undergraduate pursuits led her to the Universidad de las Americas Puebla, situated in the town of Cholula, where she studied Art. In search of fresh horizons, a relocation to California followed, focusing her studies on Sculpture.

While a diverse array of mediums has crossed her artistic path, the profound connection to her creative endeavors came alive during a ceramics course, where the touch of clay stirred something within her. This experience steered her towards a dedicated exploration of this medium, particularly in the realm of functional ceramics. In her artistic journey, clay emerged as both a fulfilling and demanding companion, a realm brimming with unending prospects for creative narration.

At its core, Gabriela's ardor for clay emanates from its tactile and sensory embrace. The pliability of clay grants her the authority to shape and sculpt in accordance with her artistic foresight, while its boundless potential for diversity and experimentation sustains her curiosity and ignites her artistic ingenuity.
